Was the Google Takeover Temporary?

Looks like Google might have been a temporary default for Yahoo...

Looks like today, Yahoo is filtering and applying a new ALGO to the Directory SE results for various sets of keywords. Although, it does not seem to have taken over all keywords right now. But, I do see a major change in Directory listings for my major keywords.

I think Google was a temporary default SE result, until Yahoo applies possibly the Google Algo to the Y! Directory SE results. It could be possible.

I don't think this whole new Yahoo!, Google and other SE partnerships are complete yet. It looks like we will have to wait and see what happens over the next few months. This sure is getting interesting. In the meantime we just need to see our sites bounce around. I don't think anything is set in Yahoo, things must die down before we can reoptimize.

Diffinately some major change to the Yahoo Directory for my keywords. Very spammy results now. Hope they are not done there.

After bugging Yahoo reps last week they did tell me that they are committed to their directory.. and that more changes are coming..

My current personal belief (taken from what reps told me and variety of rumors floating around) is that we'll see a reincarnation of the Yahoo directory backed up with a mix of results from google as well as others...

Every keyword market that I searched on is currently still pure Google. As to whether or not that will change, that is a different story.

Yeah you won't see any changes in the defualt searches yet... We were just speculating that the recent changes in the directory searches could be Y! getting ready for a switch..
