I just got a yahoo listing and now I wonder what it takes to get in the most popular section, my page gets about 130.000 - 140.000 uniquie visits a month and its more and more every day, I think they go after how many times the link to a page gets a click from different IP, because they can not see how many visits a page and I dont think they go after user friendly pages because some in my categories pages real su..

Ups it could maybe be how many have you in there myyahoo, because I do get alot of hits from those or is that to crazy.

I haven't looked into this in a while because they haven't updated most popular in my cat's in a long time.

For a while, most popular would be the highly ranked sites from the previous month. Then this stopped and I was seeing a mixture, which I attributed to editor's pick.

Pertinent to this, I've had a most popular site for months and it never used to get traffic from this listing. After the change, this site is getting pretty good traffic and most importantly, conversions.

It's definitely well worth looking into this a bit more.

editors pick? maybe but would that not tale to much time and the popular sites wold not be updated that quick and about the ranking then they use googles search results.

If I see changes in my categorie I will list it here.

2 much, I just looked at a page that are in the most popular section and it had a extreme.dm counter and they maybe got 1 visit every 2 day, that can not be popular I got over 5000 visits a day and im in the same categorie.
OK the extreme just count the hits on the frontpage,but that page is listed on yahoo.

Hey Zeus, the site in question got 162 hits from Oct. 9 - Oct. 15, 112 more than he did for the previous 8 days when the results were displayed differently. Could be a coincidence, could be a matter of the product or category..I'm not sure.

I just saw in my categorie that a new site is added with the newlogo, but it also got in to the most popular section, hmm wierd do we get any further with that?
