Susan Burke [PR spokesperson from divine] confirmed with me that the fee-based material from divine/Northern Light has been removed from Yahoo. This is the material that was labeled as "research documents" on the serp. She was unable provide any additional information.

In late January of this year this divine/NL/Yahoo "premium service" was unveiled to a fair amount of media attention and info industry discussion. Northern Light's pay-per-article service (Special Collection) continues.

News.Com [news.com.com] also has comments from Yahoo along with other details.

I think the bottom line there was that there was just too little to offer that wasn't available for free. They had no hook to draw people into the service and start to use it regularly.
