i've noticed some changes where the results are the same on the web pages, web sites and summary pages. On the web site results some have a red yahoo logo next to them. Anybody know about this. Maybe this should be in Yahoo forum but since all the results seem to be Google results i put it here. Can someone take a look, thanks

I've been pointed to 2 screenshots that have been posted of this phenomenon...

Here: snip
and
Here: snip

(neither of which are my own sites)

I know that in general screenshots are not encouraged, but in this instance the results seem to be cookie related.

Since the results cannot be reproduced by simply trying your own searches I felt that posting a visual could be helpful in preventing the unproductive "I see it" vs. "I don't" noise these threads often produce.

For more on the cookie based SERP fluctuations at Yahoo see this thread:

Some of the sites had a little "Y!" symbol next to them with the yahoo editor's title/desc. Others had snippets. I am guessing the ranking is by the SE's definition of relevance, and yahoo just enhances the description further if the site is in their directory.

The intersting part is a few of the snippets (not all of them), matched Google's current snippets while other's didn't. That seems very symbolic to me, considering snippets are fairly unique you would think. Too bad we don't know if that snapshot was taken before or after the update, anyone know?

Of course, this could just be them testing out something and does not mean that Google is still with Yahoo, but it seems to be a positive sign if you ask me.
