My site logs are showing hits coming from Yahoo. To my knowledge the site has never paid to be included, however, I am showing up as a "featured sponsor" at the top of page searches under certain keywords. We have been using Overture. IS this why I am a "Featured Sponsor"? If so do I continue using my association with Overture to get results from Yahoo or do I need to pay the $299.00 to be officially listed with Yahoo? Also, how long will I remain a "featured sponsor" if I continue using Overture? Please help!

Hi milologan

welcome to WebmasterWorld

Yes the results you are seeing are due to your overture bids and all the time you pay overture and yahoo show overture bid's your site will show, you do how ever need to make sure you stay in the top 3

You could submit to yahoo as well but it would be down to editor what description was used and therefore where you would appear on Yahoo.

tigger,
Thanks for your reply. I remember seeing somewhere exactly what search engines would show my results based on the position rank at Overture. It gave a breakdown based on 1st through 10th position on the Overture chart. Would you or anyone else know where I could refind that informational chart? Also, I have a listing from "Patric" on my logs. What spider is this?

Thanks!
