Help With Time Frame For Yahoo Search Indexing

Hello Anyone,

I wanted to know if there was a time frame for being listed in the Yahoo category searchs. I submitted last 8/16 and then had a title change on 8/26, I am not coming up under all of my keywords. I am only coming up for keywords that do not have category matches, will it take longer to be listed under categories or not?

I have usually seen it take 2-5 days from being listed to showing up in searches. Lately it seems like the time frame has expanded and have heard of people waiting more than 7-10 days. Since you just had a change made yesterday you should give it a week or so before getting too worried.

Also, keep in mind that although your site may be listed quickly, you may not rank unless your site is optimized (kw in title, description, domain, PR).

If your site is already listed in the Yahoo directory but you don't come up for your keywords, you may want to check what title Yahoo gave you. If the title is proper, then work on your site - make sure you mention the keyword in all the proper places and have good link popularity.

we just got listed on the 14th.. it took about 10 days for us to show in yahoo even under our site title.. their seem to be gliches delaying it being in the database.. give them some time.. i know many who got delayed like we did.. now we show and show damn good! :) Rank 16 under a main key phrase out of 500 :)
