I just got my new website listed in Yahoo. In the description field Yahoo hyphenated my key phrase like this: my-key-phrase-hyphenated. This is not they way my key words are ever written (except, of course, in this listing!). My question is, is this a matter of no harm no foul, meaning that Yahoo will ignore the hyphens when people do a key word search, or will it actually make a difference (I imagine they hyphens couldn't possibly help)in the end search results? If it does make a difference, what are the odds that I might be able to persuade Yahoo to remove the hyphens?
Thanks in adance for your input.
Hyphens are counted as spaces. Even in the url or directory name (i.e: martinibuster.com/my-spammy-keyword-directory).
I also know for certain that it isn't counted in the description either. Here's the proof: A search for "Meals-on-wheels" and "Meals on wheels" will bring up identical results.
