I have just submitted 2 sites, one was paid for (£199.00) for UK, and one site was under the free listings. Both sites commercial. The first site got listed in 2 days and the second in 8 days. Makes me wonder about paying for any sites.

Yahoo UK made 837 registrations yesterday [uk.dir.yahoo.com]. It depends on the volume of incoming requests.

You can consider yourself lucky for having the second one included for free and within 8 days. Most of my commercial inclusions must be payed for. I usually have to wait 6 to 8 weeks before seeing a free inclusion in the index.
