Hello All
Firstly-I find this forum invaluable so I do thank you for your replies.

I am about to submit our site to Yahoo US, is there a different submission process for Yahoo UK?

Secondly: our site is already ben designed and live for awhile now. We do not have the basics ie Meta Tags, NB keyword in domain name yet have much flash and animation on the homepage--what are my options to boost ranking considering Im dont have the basics to work with?

I know two questions but Imm trying to rush whats left of this Friday...

If you have a UK site, submit it in the UK section of Yahoo.com, otherwise sites that appear in Yahoo.com will show up in UK Yahoo.

For ranking well in Yahoo, see our Yahoo FAQ:

Unless, that is, you search on 'UK only' in Yahoo UK, where a .co.uk listed in Yahoo.com will NOT show up.

Whereas a .co.uk listed in Yahoo UK WILL show up for general searches on Yahoo.com

And paid submission to Yuk (!) will only cost you 199GBP one-off, whereas Ycom will cost you USD 299 recurring. And if you're VAT registered, that's a BIG difference...

But then there's the poorer pagerank of Yuk categories to consider...

Flippin 'eck..

Interesting post folks.

Have a .com domain which is a UK company who sell internationally.

My feeling is to list in Yahoo.com and request a regional listing but will that mean that people searching for UK sites in the Yahoo.co.uk index will not find this one?

Any advice appreciated.

Hello CP

trying to rush whats left of this Friday...

Noticed this in your post. Make sure 100% before you even think about a yahoo submission. It would be a wounder if you paid your money and then did not get listed due to not adhering strictly to Yahoo protocol.

You can still submit it monday. ;)
