wow, nice catch. Any idea how long they have been tracking? I hope this gets to the major news organizations.

thanks- my guess is it was put into place when all the yahoogroups were down over St. Patricks weekend when they did all that other funny business with the marketing/spam stuff- its funny, one of the other lists that i forwarded it to doesnt think its a big deal :-)

you know, it seems the more you dig around in the yahoo site, the more of this kind of stuff you find- i wonder how many suprises are there that we havent found yet?

Definitely with you on that one there theweblady. This little suprise was quite disturbing to say the least. I'm starting to feel like I need to get a law degree just to safely be able to sign up for or use anything involving termns of service on the net.

Wouldn't want to opt-in to giving away my first born child.

I seem to remember a company called Double Click get into a good bit of trouble a few
years back for something similar? Anyone remember something about that?
