Y-asia crawled site thru other SE

First post here, I hope it will also be of help to others.

Yahoo/asia found my site from a SE I submitted to in the middle east,

Yahoo Asia added my site on 4/4/02 and on the same day/time google added site also.

PR not good on google compared to MSN, which is page 1 # 3 on 10+ top level keywords.

Now that I'm in Yahoo Asia, will my site get listed in the US Yahoo? Should I hold off on spending the $300 for USA Yahoo.

Hi michaelrb, Welcome to WebmasterWorld.

I would wait a while to see if you do end up in the Yahoo.com database. We had a similar discussion on this very subject a while ago and the prognosis was encouraging. You can find that discussion here [webmasterworld.com].

Well your website has saved my client the Y! fee.
I tried Asia.Y! to free submit a one month old tour website two weeks ago and it is now in the Y!.com SE. (yes...2 weeks).

Not only that, it is ranking very well on several sets of keywords (even #10 for the most generic one word KW). (And getting sales already)

So thankyou to everyone and all the other 1000+ posts I have read through on this very professionally run website.

Now if only I could get my own site to rank better than #199 in googs.(next update and another 26 steps)

I just submitted to sites to Yahoo Asia. Has anyone had any further luck in getting their site listed for free via Yahoo Asia recently. Thanks.

Upon success of my other result I submitted other sites 4 weeks ago and have had no results.

Maybe they had an influx of sites?? and wised up.
