This is what happened to me. It seemed that somebody was accessing my account. I changed the password but it kept locking up my mail. I wrote to yahoo and asked why. Then they locked me out of my messenger too. They asked for my alternate email address. I gave all the addresses I could think of but the inactive ones were re-routed by veri-post? back into ababeonlegs@yahoo.com so I never got the new password. They say none of my email addresses matched but if somebody was in my account then they could have changed my alternate email address. They also said I should have kept that info updated but at the time I did not know how to do it. I highlighted the email address to try and change it at one point but I did know I had to go to edit. I have a heart condition and have been in hospital quite a bit. An account is just another account to Yahoo but to the user it can be so much more. I have cried and cried and cried over loosing my account. Everthing that meant anything to me was contained in there. I will never understand why they locked it just because I changed my password. Worse still somebody is accessing another of my accounts and I am afraid to change the password in case yahoo take that account too. I have loads of print outs that would prove it was my account but I can't find a postal address to go to.

Hi claire,

Unfortunatly for you, this forum deals with web site listings in the Yahoo Directory. I dont think you will find anyone that can help you about Yahoo e-mail services here.

Good luck!

No help here. But I have a yahoo mail story for you. Hope it helps.

I have had a Yahoo email address as long as I can remember. I think it goes back to '94 or '95. Well any way I never use the darn thing. Then I decided to use Y! Messenger one day and they have that nice little link on it to check my Y! mail. But when I login I always got some Y! error message saying I had an error in my account try again. I think this had to do with how old my account was. So I wrote them, well it took 6 months before the Y! mail actually started working for me again. And I think the situation resolves itself because if you don't login for a while you have to reactivate your email (I have done that several times over the years). But don't expect good customer service from Yahoo. They never really responsed to me. Just auto-replies and template replies. They are to big for their own good.
