Can anyone explain this?

I submitted a site to Yahoo in January through the express submission.
It was reviewed and included in the directory. The site was ranking well (in first 5 results) for a few important keyword phrases relevant to the site. The title and description used by Yahoo was just about the one I submitted and included the important keywords and phrases.
However I notice today that on yahoo.co.uk we have slipped to page 3 for the same keyword searches? yahoo.co.uk is more important for the site in generating targetted traffic so this is extremeley annoying and there seems no logic to it as the most important search phrase is included in the name of the company and the site, yet we appear on page 3 of the results for that query.

I would be grateful if anyone could offer any reason why this could be as we are now ranking below sites that aren't even relevant for the query.

Dawlish:

You submitted to Yahoo or Yahoo UK or both?

Hi dawlish, welcome to WmW!

It seems to me that Yahoo UK displays results differently...are you listed in the categories displayed? That could account for the difference...

I submitted to yahoo.com, and my position is unaltered on yahoo.com. Latest week I was position 1 to 5 for my important keyword phrase searches on yahoo.co.uk, now I'm on page 2 or 3 of the results?

The various Yahoos out there shuffle results on a whim it seems. I went from top 3 at Yahoo to #39 over night for my best keyword. It happens - Yahoo shuffles. Nothing you can do about it.
