I'm noticing that my regular Yahoo traffic has dropped at least 40% since introduction of sponsored listings. Overture traffic has increased but not significantly.

My Yahoo traffic has plummeted over the past two days. The same way my aol traffic did when they introduced the goto traffic.

New algo? Looks like straight Google to me. This expansion in traffic for the paid people will open some eyes to ROI figures...I think we'll see a falling away of everyone except sites that sell stuff online.

I used to be #1 for two of my most important 2 word phrases but they have dropped to #6. Combine that with the Overture listings and it is not turning out to be a good start to the week.

I was number one for my most important keyword and now #26 !! :( As you can imagine my yahoo traffic has all but disappeared.

Also am I going blind or why cant I see any overture results. have they started yet?

As for ther algo I cant see any resemblance to google what so ever, certainly not on the keywords that I am searching on. Any pointers on this new algo yet? and would it beyond the realms of possibility the there is a coincidence in people loosing their top results for competitve kewords and the start of the ppc scheme? I would like to think not but you never know.

You may not be seeing the Overture results depending on our location. Have a look at this [topsitelistings.com]

I presume that you mean if I am in the US. I am in the UK and no overture results appear when I try the same search. If this is the case it leaves me in a very bad position. I have dropped 26 places in the listings and even if I want to I cant pay to get them back.

As yahoo.com is used worldwide this in very bad news for me and I am sure very many others

Please let me be wrong :(

Start bidding on keywords on Overture.

For some kw's - IMPOSSIBLE.

This is great for less competitive fields, but for some kw's, this is absolutely horrible.

We tired GoTo once for something competitive and burned through a lot of money in just a few hours with NO SALES! Never again.

I'm off searching about for new niches :)

I'm not saying that we would start bidding.......but it is one option.

My Yahoo traffic appears to be holding up fine today. There are goto results on the SERPs for all of my major keyword phrases that I checked.

I think I noticed that the goto results are taking up less space today, than when I first looked at them Friday night. Today they look similar to what you see on top of the other engines. That is, the link plus text is only one line long, and is truncated.

Last Friday night when I first looked I was pretty PO'd because they were longer than today. Must be an issue with gettin all of this stuff loaded.

Yahoo if you are reading this, using a smaller font size on the sponsored listings would be nice also.

Our Overture sponsored listings on Yahoo slowly seem to be increasing traffic. Yesterday, 20th Nov, Overture traffic from yahoo was up 50%. Maybe the listings are coming online more and more now.

I didn't want to look to hard, but did today.... I got hammered. I was playing Y! hard and lost about 2/3 of my non-adult traffic.... adult webmaster traffic showed almost no effect.... I guess they see those Sponsored Listings and just skip over them.... wish those other poor, dumb, surfers would see the light and come home to pappa... but I don't think its going to happen.
