I paid the $199 for the Yahoo BizEx service, but have reason to believe the site was not "reviewed" in any real sense of the word.
I used the service to submit the site www.mydomainguidetogambling.com (aiming for what seems to be the most appropriate category, /Recreation/Gambling/ ).
The reason I am doubtful of the review is that the site was placed in the blatantly unrelated category,
/Business_and_Economy/Shopping_and_Services/Gambling/Web_Based_Gambling/ ,
a category containing nothing but online casinos / sportsbooks - over 800 of them! (a quick look at both categories will
reveal the extent of the 'miscategorization', and hopefully demonstrate that this is not merely a matter of conjecture).
It is immediately obvious upon viewing that the site has nothing whatsoever to do with Web Based Gambling (nor really Shopping and Services for that matter). It is a gambling *information* site.
Naturally, I appealed the category decision, however the appeal was declined with a generated email.
I don't want to aggravate Yahoo, as my past experiences have been positive when using Business Express.
On the other hand, I don't feel like paying $199 when it seems that the site was not "reviewed" to any degree whatsoever.
Yahoo Surfers have deadlines to meet, but surely if a review is paid for, the Y! Surfer should take a time to determine the correct category. And in this case, the category is immediately
evident.
Any assistance enormously appreciated.
Sincerely.
Blair
