Hmm out of curiosity ,I calculated the number fo submissions into yahoo per day -roughly.I calculated the submission perday based on my own submission 2 days apart I got the order ID and they no follow according to a normal number adding up from 0 onwards. So therefore my conclusionis that they roughly get 2484 biz submissions a day .Wow that would mean like USD 742716 -- close to a million a day -- would be more than profitable..

Unless they reject an awful lot of them that seems pretty high.

Yahoo! as an average total net revenues of 2 millions a day. This interesting sampling method should be duplicated by other members. I will post more info later after I sort out my bills. Funny that I never thought of it!

For the time beeing, here is the official numbers from Yahoo! I will try to get more details.

According to the financial report [biz.yahoo.com], advertising still have a very large part of the revenue pie. Just don't know if they added payed sumission in this enveloppe.

I have thought about this myself. If you look at the number of sites actually added, the "What's New" Section, [dir.yahoo.com...] they add between 300-1200 new listings a day. How many are paid for?
