How can I stop these annoying advertisements from popping up on my screen.they are messing up the performance of my system.Do I have to drop yahoo and go with someone else????

I'm not sure I understand your question. What ads? What do you mean by dropping Yahoo?
You can also turn off Java in your browser config, I prefer the stopper

Pop up stopper works fine but is there any way to stop those annoying windows messages like "Do you want to bookmark us or do you want to do blah..blah...any way to stop those alerts?

Try sending a complaint to the web site. If they are alert boxes, they're under their control. If enough people complain, maybe they'll listen. I made a funny :)
