I have this e-commerce web site and would like to list it with Yahoo. I will fill out the form and pay the $199. fee next week.

KG2RG, welcome to Webmaster World.

Planning your submission to Yahoo is essential and you'll find some goot tips here [webmasterworld.com]

Remember to suggest alternative categories on top of the prime category.

The chances of taking the money and not accepting it are always there, so, be ready, for it may happen. The editors are looking for uniqueness, good content, site design (no broken links are essential). In addition, they are also looking to boost categories that have few sites already listed.

Welcome to WmW, KG2RG.

Download a copy of Netscape 4 and check your pages for any surprises.

Check your StickyMail for a few site-specific suggestions.
(StickyMail is on the menu at the top of the screen)

I just re-read that post, Engine.

It makes me wonder if Yahoo looks for site that are compliant for people with disabilities.

That would explain why Yahoo surfs the site with the javascript turned off: text to speech things have difficulty reading that.

Might not be a bad idea to run your site though this check:

[cast.org...]

That'd be a good check to see if search engines could read the site as well.

Thank you folks and a special thanks to Sean for the detailed site problems and solutions. I have made several changes to the site and feel that those problems have been rectified. We will submit the site on Friday and hope for the best.

Well I just failed miserably on the Bobby test. Does Yahoo require a pass on this?
