I saw a couple posts about people getting sites dropped... this isn't really about that... although that is part of it.

Basically Y hadn't really moved much in about 1.5 months (sure, site additions, minor rearrangement, etc.) but within the last week there seems to be a disturbance over there... not crazy, but some larger movement in a wide range of topics and areas. I can't really put my finger on things but I hear a faint rumble... sleep with one eye open

I've noticed some shuffling as well - worked out very well for me :) on sites that have absolutely zero link pop so I figure they is likely another new development as well as or instead of link pop.

One of my Sites recently went from #5 to 200 for its most competitve search and it stayed down for two weeks until I decided to take all the graphics out of the Web Masters hands and optimize them as well. This seemed to do the trick and we have risen to #24 for the phrase so my next step is to change to a server closer to Yahoo. My point: Watch your loading time, they seem to be paying closer attentin to it these days. 2-4 seconds seems best and nothing over 6.
