This appears in a click-box in the BizEx submission guidelines: what do you understand by "capabilities"?

capabilities probably meaning java support and the like would be my guess.

Suddenly, yahoo are not listing some sites I submitted biz express because they don't work (or have bugs) in netscape 4.7. What a pain! Anyone else having probs like this now?

Me too.

In my case it was one graphic on one page (of a medium size site) which was slightly out of position in Netscape 4.7 and, as they put it 'obscuring text'.

They seem to be turning things down quite often now (a nice moneyspinner?) on very 'subjective' criteria.

so any ideas why yahoo are suddenly getting so tight on cross-browser compatibility?

do they not want to look like their discriminating against netscape??

I recently asked a Yahoo Express Team guy about what "The site must support multiple browsers and
capabilities" actually meant and all he told me was:

"what we really mean is visible in both IE and Netscape. I guess the rationale is that the vast majority of people are going to be using one of those, and if not, they're certainly the most accessible."

Not too enlightening but at least we dont have to check for Opera as well.

mr_dredd2 - I think that your claim is a little bit too 'X-Files', they probably just want to make sure the sites listed in their directory are more widely accessible.

thanks smooth operator - you obviously seem to know your way around paid listings although i think you underestimate the shadowy AOL elite - they are everywhere, seriously.

I've a feeling us Europeans underestimate the importance of the AOL/Netscape link in the Y! scheme of things.
