Yahoo confused? Help!

On Wednesday, I moved hosts. All I did was simply get my new server up and change the DNS tp point to the new IP. This is what Mr Matt Cutts said to do :)

Now, two days later, Yahoo is the only one still hitting the old server (IP). They are also hitting the new server though. How much longer should I leave the old server up (an exact mirror copy of the new server)? And should I implement any sort of redirect via code or http headers to get the Yahoo bot to behave? Im very cautious here, since using these redirects can really screw up the SE's.

Thanks for your input.

Sounds like Yahoo's cached the old IP address. You might have to wait a few more days for them to update their cache on all their data centres.

mikey158 - I switched servers about four months ago. Google, Y! and MSN picked up the switch very quickly - meaning days (one or two).

I timed the switch so that my old contract ran out about three weeks after the switch - just to be on the safe side. After about a week, the only one still hitting the old server was a blog spider.
