As of this morning my number one pages in Yahoo are nowhere to be found. Nuts!

Is this Yahoo directory or web pages? Did your rankings in Google change?

Yahoo webpages. I see in my logs a few of the pages are showing from my sites. I have a few referrals from Yahoo but I had a number one spot that is gone, not even listed under that keyword anymore anywhere. Also numbers 4 and 6 under another keyword, now I'm not listed anywhere under that keyword. There's one thing I didn't mention: I was using an external java redirect. I'm still in Google with the same rankings.

I've disappeared from Yahoo. I feel like a congressman's girlfriend.

By an external java redirect, do you mean it was not directly written onto your pages or the redirect was not whithin the same domain?
Yahoo Web surfers sometimes surf or review with java off and if the site does not work properly that way it gets the boot.

Were the pages very similar to each other?

Of course Macguru, that must be it. It was an external script, in the same domain. Now I wonder if the sites are banned completely or can be salvaged if I remove the javascript redirect.

If it is the case, you will have to write to them. But you better double check if the site is really gone. They also sometimes move sites around in new categories that they create.

You might want to resubmit and email the surfer that added your site about why your listing was dropped. If your site is down when the surfer is adding sites to the category you are in, they may remove your site from the directory. I had one url removed for the site being down I was told.
