Oops!

We ran into a temporary problem while performing your search. Please try your search again.

This is the result being displayed when a query is being executed at Y!.
Have any of you seen the same?

I searched for Google Video earlier and it didn't work. Now it's working. All other searches are working now too.

But others seem to still be seeing an outage, though.

what I can see right now a a bunch of sites (ethical sites, no real seo) being wiped out...get better every month Yahoo - the more they work the worst they do...
...maybe temporary though.

Not seeing anything although it is Yahoo time of the month - almost like clockwork there have been changes around the 18-25th.

Broker_boy

By dropped - do you mean number of pages dropped? - or totally removed? - or downranking?

For about a year Yahoo updates seem to have a pattern of losing lots of pages/data for sites - only for these pages to return as the update progresses - check previous Yahoo update threads at WebmasterWorld.

2 sites gone from yahoo that had top results for years. Seems to of just happened this morning here on the west coast. Bummer! Do have paid listings in Yahoo directory on one of the sites.

Yes there is an update going on - unfortunately it is as poor and illogical (considering websites dropped) as usual....thanks Yahoo (quoting Google and MSN)

Traffic is way down for me this morning / early afternoon. Was Yahoo search down, because I still seem okay on the phrases I tested.

It seems that there is an update going on.

In my topic, I see that many websites have lost positions, and there are some spammy sites at the top. It's like any filters are turned off right now.

Yahoo is not also able to retrieve any cache for most websites.

I don't know if this is a normal update or not, but it is not finished yet, and it seems larger than usual.

Spammy sites are also appearing at the top for my keyword search terms - there's definitely some sort of reindexing going on. Also, the SERP results are changing every 15 minutes or so.

Hold tight folks ...

No Billy it's not about Yahoo being down...There's 2 sets of results showing...You are seeing the original results as of yesterday. Your stats are way down cause the other results coming on and off today may have you off on those. It's happening to me for the first time in a LONG time. The other set of results and are live for me (right now) are complete spam slamming sites at the top. Guestbook, blog and all automated signing sites at the top for our sector.

As has been mentioned on another forum - Yahoo seems to have lost its cache for a lot of pages - showing 0 kb next to the cache link.

Do a search on a common word such as Hello - to see this.

I have observed this issue yesterday only and mentioned in my last msg.
