Has anyone else had the problem of the group disappearing overnight. I am a moderator on the act-km group and our group of 1500 + members was running fine on Sunday morning (australian time), by Sunday evening the group had disappeared (no warning) and by Monday the reference to the group had also disappeared.
This is one of the largest knowledge management discussion lists in the world and it just disappeared in to the ether. On top of all this I tried to contact a human being in Yahoo - what a challenge?
I tried Yahoo Australia only to be told that unless we had a .au extension, they could not help me (this took 3 phone calls and various attempts at any sort of contact). They finally gave me a phone number for the Yahoo in the USA. The results of this phone call are that they don't deal with groups via phone - only by email.
I run a customer service area and was mortified to find that something as (so called) sophisticated as Yahoo does not even have an automated email acknowledgement system. Which century are they living in? It has not been about 50 + hours of no response from Yahoo and our group is stressing out big time as to where our membership list and archive has gone to. Also, as to why this might have happened.
Yahoo has turned out to be very disappointing as a service provider.
