Searcing www site com show old title

Strange things are happening, then I search for my www . site . com it shows old title of my site, but then I click to see cached version it shows a new version. Strange.. anyone else having the same?

it happens quite freqently. G uses different dbs for the cache and the index. What you see in the cache is not what the rankings were based on.

So what you are saying is on Yahoo I should not assume just because they updated my cache that the changes I made didn't affect anything, right?

So if you make changes to a page when can you expect it to have an effect on rankings? I am unfamiliar if yahoo has rolling updates or not.

Thanks Brett,

Can you give me a rough estimate on how often yahoo updates their serps. Basically how long after you make changes (and slurp crawls them) can you expect to see a positive or negative change in the serps.
