Yahoo Drops the Cache for Most Pages on My Site

One Page Still Ranking - Is this a Crawler Issue

Hey there,

It's been more than two years that my site has been at the top of Yahoo SERPS for more of it'S keywords, without having any trouble.

Since last week though, all the keywords fell in the SERPS at the same time, and I thought that maybe the site as had a penalty.

But I still have ONE page of the site that still ranks well for a competitive keywords on Yahoo, and That page is the only one to still have a cache in yahoo's index.

My question is the following: Do you think that the fact that the other pages of the site don't have their cache in the yahoo index means that there was a problem in the last crawling and digesting on my site by yahoo?

Does it means that I should wait for yahoo to reinsert all my pages in it's index again, and once the cache versions are backmy pages would also come back in the serps?

Like I said, the only page that still has a cached versions still ranks well in the SERPS. All the other pages have no cache...

To me it means that maybe yahoo is in the process or recrawling the site completely?

Does that make any sense to you all?

Thanks

Some of our sites have seen the same thing (other than the no cache). Started a few weeks ago.

One to a few pages still rank OK, others are nowhere to be found.

If the domain name is entered as the search phrase for one site, it shows 44 results. A search for site:domain show 17,900 results (site doesn't have that many pages, around half).

I'm not sure what Yahoo is playing around with, but it is very disheartening to see scraper sites referring traffic because my content is ranking well on their websites while mine is nowhere to be seen.

Guess that's the game.

Hi guys,

Well at the 20 of september yahoo dropped all the rankings for all my pages except one, which is a very imporant one. So that led me to beleive yahoo was having certain troubles crawling my site and indexing it.

Then a few days after that I realized that yahoo had erased all the CACHE from all the pages of my sites or so.

So then I continue to beleive yahoo my have had trouble indexing and caching my site, leading to be removed from the serps for two weeks now.

I only keep some confidence because there is still one page ranking good, and having a cache. And also because I think my site is a quality site, but does that matter anymore?
