Recently a site of mine had a decent ranking of #12 for its main term. Over the past month the site can only be found between 100-105 on that same term.

I figured there may be a penalty or it tripped some kind of filter. I happend to search on ca.yahoo.com (All the web, not just Canadian sites) on another computer in the office, and was surprised to find it #1 for its main term and several other terms.

If it were penalized I don't think I'd be showing #1 results anywhere.

The site is a Canadian company, but hosted in the US.

Is it possible to be grouped into local Yahoo! Canada searches and be 'repressed' from the main Yahoo index?

It's not a super competitive keyword and its not that there are so many more better sites that justify it going from #1 to over 100. There are many garbage sites before it...it should at the very least be top 20.
