I have originally launched my website with about 400 pages. However by mistake, I made an error on my website and therefore about 150 of those pages have been 404'd by me intentionally after the deep crawl was already done by Yahoo, and I am now awaiting a recrawl. However, as of today the website is about 600 pages total and what was at one point 400 indexed pages (404'd pages included) dropped today to 239 indexed pages - and the 404 pages are still there and I'm not sure if any of them were removed or not.
Anyone here can share their opinions on this? It doesn't make sense how I have added quality content pages almost on a daily basis to have the # of indexed pages almost go 50% down instead of up!
