Yahoo not indexed my site.

Google has nearly 400 pages indexed.

Can anyone help me understand why Yahoo only has one of my pages indexed while Google has nearly 400 indexed?

hey, do you have a robots.txt file? Maybe this is just a rumor, but I heard that there is a better chance for Yahoo to index your site if there's a robots.txt file. Also, make sure that you have meta tags. Inktomi's Slurp is the only major search engine that still uses meta tags. Submit your site to their search and directory also. You can find the link to the search submission here:

[search.yahoo.com...]

When you find the appropriate directory, submit your site through that too.

Also, make sure that your site wasn't banned for some reason.

They all use metas. MSN even shows it as a snippet if the description tag is too short.

If you do a site:domain.com search and all you see is one page, and you have a decent amount of good backlinks, and your site is several months old, then there's a good chance it's banned.

I have a feeling that I've been banned. What are the steps I can take to [1] see if I am banned, and [2] get unbanned?

One of our sites that was in top 10 for almost 7 keywords with a competition of nearly 39,300,000 pages is gone from Yahoo. It is not even listed for any keyword. The site seems to have been removed after this update. We never did anything wrong.

How is that possible and how to request yahoo for it's re-in-inclusion?
