My site is relatively new (about a month old) and it gets quite a few hits from Inktomi's slurp robot each day. Before, I had a really crappy description of the site that had very little keyword relevancy to the rest of the pages on my site (my fault for using the keywords and description as part of a template). Thus, my ranking on yahoo was horrendous. More than a week ago, I went through every single page and updated the description and keyword meta tags to be extremely relevant. However, yahoo isn't updating with the new descriptions even though the bot frequently visits the pages. Does anyone know if they would update the description at some point or did I make an irreversable mistake? Does the description have to do with a page being cached (all my pages are cached)? Any help would be appreciated. Thanks in advance!
