I am wandering if anyone has come to any type of reason why this is happening. It looks like they have started an all out war against SEO.
I believe there is a link age filter in place.. Some top sites that rank well in my niche are blog spamming sites. The only thing I noticed is that these sites were in place by late last year with the links created then. All the newer sites that were doing this got removed for the serps for these keywords.
I also believe they have implemented some sort of unnatural linking filter meaning that they may penalize a site for having too many backlinks with the exact same anchor text.
Other sites that are now doing well and just made the appearence into the serps for my niche are blogs themselves. People are create widget blogs which simply have affiliate links on them for the widget they are selling. The top 30 results yields 7 blogger sites which were no where to be seen prior to this update.
Anyone else want to add to the new Yahoo ranking considerations?
