Google Takes to The Airwaves [webmasterworld.com] :). On the way to work today I heard an advertisement for Yahoo Local. Since KC is known for it's Barbeque, Yahoo is teaming up with a local BBQ joint and offering $12 worth of free BBQ to anyone that comes in on Saturday between 11am and 5pm. The commercial was read by a local radio show host which described Yahoo local and how a user could find the BBQ joint w/ the free BBQ AND a map to the closest restaurant based on the searcher's address! Interesting war heating up for the local searcher!
