Yahoo indexing strategy

Does anyone know if yahoo only indexes homepages or whether it indexes each page of a website.

I ask this because despite re-crawling my homepage and ammending its SERPS on a couple of occassions, Yahoo hasn't picked up on the new pages that I added to my site about a month ago.

Yahoo indexes every page if "worthy" of being indexed. Check all your tags, especially the first few, head, body, metas are all open and closed properly.

It would appear that it indexes the home page and includes that in teh directory.

THEN about every three months includes teh other pages.

Thanks guys- I'm guessing from what you say that as Yahoo updates its pages every three months, if I've added a page in less than that time-, I'm just going to have to be patient and wait for it to appear

Hmm... Yahoo seems to update once a month. Nevertheless, I generally have stuff ranking for non-competitive longtail stuff within 48-72 hours.

It seems to me, and this isn't written in stone, but it seems to me that it depends on where in their index cycle you were crawled that determines whether you will be folded into the index in a month or two months or more.

Even when Google was on a monthly update, I had sites sit on the sidelines for up to three months before they started ranking. And it seems like Yahoo is following a similar pattern.

The quantity of links seems to have a bearing on how fast I rank, too. Like, if I throw a bunch of links at something it will rank faster than a slow growth of IBLs. Some directories get me favored by MSN but not by Yahoo... funny.
