My first post here at WebmasterWorld. I have 6 content sites which I follow the stats of. The latest 4/1/05 Yahoo update has skewed them all over the board. Here is the overview:

IB=Number of pages indexed in Yahoo before 4/1/05
IA=Number of pages indexed in Yahoo after 4/1/05

Domain-----IB---IA
Site1.com--120--0
Site2.com--59---16
Site3.com--110--1
Site4.com--90---59
Site5.com--8----53
Site6.com--16---87

Nothing is consistent as to why the changes happened. I've been analyzing backlinks, kb of pages, duplicate content, freshness of content, age of site, etc.

As you can see two sites even went up. This makes no sense.

Anyone else who tracks their sites figure out any correlations?

These are the kind of results many of us our seeing. Are you doing any blog spam? If so, 'no follow' links may be to blame. Not to sure yet, lots of people trying to understand the Yahoo flux.

All Clean sites. Just trying to see any pattern that may lead to clues why this happened. But like I said I cant find any consistencies.

I found out from my sites and others that I was following.
1. Sitewide links don't help on yahoo anymore.
2. If your site was over optimized that will reduce your ranking as well
another factor I am playing with is an age factor and how that relates to the update.
