Down on Yahoo Serps and up on Altavista....

Shouldn't the results be similar?

Well some 2/3 weeks ago manage to get my site #1 on Yahoo serps for one keyfrase and #2 for another one.

Sometimes it dropped some places and the next day it came up again.

Some 4 days ago it droped from #1 to #55 for the first keyfrase and from #2 to #8 for the second one....

The odd thing is that yesterday i came to find that now I', #3 on Altavista for the keyfrase that is #55 on Yahoo...?

Any ideas about this?

I have noticed this too -- I have seen AV preceed Yahoo but I could be wrong as I've only seen a few examples.

they are definately out of sync but I can't see the pattern

I belive they use the same database, but use different filters for each so it's not an exact copy of the results.
