I have a number of referrals that appear to be coming from Yahoo! for a keyword combo "widget benefit".

Not only does this exact keyword combo not appear
on my site, when I do a search for it on Yahoo! This site doesn't appear in the first few hundred listings.

Could these visits be coming from some Yahoo! search partner whose page targets these keywords? I am not currently doing any PPC for this site so theoretically all traffic should be natural.

yesterday I saw a large increase in yahoo traffic and conversions from yahoo.

I went to check out the rankings for the term and I couldn't find my site as well. I tried clearing my cookies, just incase they were serving me results based on a cookie. I still didn't see my site.

If anyone knows how to see results from different data sets on yahoo, that would be helpful to see what is going on here.

Hmmm...

Recently I had 2 sites ad the site in question's search listing to their obviously scraped directory.

If they scraped the Yahoo! serps could the traffic still be getting credited to Yahoo! as the referrer?

Almost daily I show for a Y search in my logs but site can't be found for that keyphrase in the top 100. Been thinking the search happened when a different index was used. IMHO I think they have at least 3 indexes that rotate.
