Did Yahoo change?

Change in Yahoo or were my site changes effective?

I recently fixed a duplicate content problem caused by mod_rewrite, drastically reduced my page sizes, and reduced the number of links on each page.

I got deep crawled right after that changes.

Today Yahoo reports nearly the same number of pages indexed as before the changes.

But now I am getting twice the refferals I did before, for a whole range of keywords.

so I am left wondering...

was it the changes I made to my site or was there arecent change to yahoo?
