In & Out of serps normal?

I have seen my top rankings disappear and reappear 24 hrs later like every 3 days.Is this a normal yahoo experience for anyone?

nothing is regular enough on Yahoo to be considered normal but it has happen to me a couple of time before.

Right now I have three sites (all previously #10 not in the top 600.

I've seen sites going in and out of the SERP's, especially when they first start ranking.

It seems that they go in and out, until after a few months, if the site is considered "worthy", then it remains permanently (given normal ranking info).

I've seen new sites in and out too and then they either stay in the index with good traffic or out completely.

Most of the sites I work with stay with good traffic though. I have only seen 2 sites get dropped.
