Yahoo Directory Listings and Altered Descriptions

I bought I directory listing and dropped two pages within one week of the listing going live. My suspicion is that the really, really, really bad description that was written for my by the Yahoo team caused the first drop.

So, to compensate for the loss in traffic I purchased PPC listings through Overture and now I can't find my site within the first ten pages or free results! My listing shows up No.1 due to the Overture sponsored listings but the loss of free traffic, the cost of the directory listing and the current extra I'm paying on PPC is really starting to annoy me.

Anyone else experienced the same things or could these be two massive co-incidences?
