Hi all-

This is my first post to this forum after trolling for a while. My website was banned from yahoo search as I found out due to having 4 other 'very similar' websites with similar but not exact content. Anyway, all 5 websites were indeed banned by Yahoo for ~1 year.

HOWEVER, as of 3 days ago, after mulitple email requests to Yahoo! and getting rid of the other 4 websites and changing from frames to non-frames setup, my original website WAS reinstated. They did not inform me of the re-inclusion but obviously I'm always checking and it is now back in the Search results.

So now my website name is back in the Index however it is not ranked for any search terms yet. Prior to the ban, my site was as the top for nearly all of my relevant search terms. Does anyone have a guess of when the site will begin re-appearing for search terms? Thanks and I AM proof that a site indeed CAN be reinstated.

if you read through the recent posts you would see that banned sites have their index pages in the index now. They also have a total demotion penalty. You are not proof of banned sites coming back. You are proof that banned sites are now treated differently than before. It also coincides with a change in the standard reply email you recieve when asking for a review. It now seems by allowing the sites to be in the serps they only have to say "you are in the index..end of chat!" It seems to be some sort of cop-out by yahoo.
