Will Submitting to Yahoo Local Affect Rankings in the Main Serps?

I submitted a few new sites to Yahoo Local.

Prior to the last update they only ranked on page 2-3, but now they're all ranking #1-3 for their main keywords... but they have also acquired good links in the meantime.

Is anyone seeing Yahoo Local listings boosting sites in the regular SERPs?

It might be a good way to fast track the ranking process.
