Hey, why not. Wasn't Yahoo! one of the first SEs to offer downloads of this sort? I remember DLing a sports ticker offered by Yahoo! YEARS ago and thinking to myself that it'd be no time at all until everyone would jump on the bandwagon.

Now we have all these desktop search programs, ect.

Am I the only one that feels that, for PC users, it's all sort of in vain? I mean, do you really think MS is going to let these guys take over their OS's desktop/internal search for much longer? Everything's going to change with Longhorn.

(BTW, typo: "Yahoo To -> Lauch <- Desktop Search in January".)

I have the google one installed and it's not once given me results I needed. It crawls all the stuff I know how to find anyhow.

Ho hum.

SOD, make sure that you check the settings box that says, "Do not allow G/Y to send all my disk info back to the 'Plex."
