I wonder if anyone can help?

I noticed a competitor's web site has this code included in page of their site, with my URL included in the code. Does anyone know what this is and why they would do it?

<img src="http://***.***.***.**/c.php?mid=4&mip=***.***.***.***&mre=http%3A%2F%2Fca.search.yahoo.com%2Fsearch%3Fp%3D%2522MY-URL.COM2522%26ei%3DUTF-8%26fl%3D0%26pstart%3D1%26b%3D21" width=1 height=1>

I've ommitted the ip's and (My) url.
