Acquired Competitor and Yahoo Confused

Fixing directory listing with no idea who submitted.

My client acquired a company over a year ago and got the company's website and domain names in the acquisition. They immediately posted their corporate site at the address formerly owned by the company they acquired. It was not set up as a 301 re-direct, it just existed as another place to find their site.

Problem is that if you type in their corporate name, Yahoo search serves up the title, description, and URL of the company that they acquired.

No one at the company knows anything about who submitted the site or any paswords at Yahoo so I'm not really sure how to pursue. We just implemented a 301 re-direct so that the domain that Yahoo search is listing now points to the company's domain, but I'm not sure that this will fix the problem with how it is pulling the Yahoo directory information.

Any ideas?
