Greetings. our site [snip] has been having some blues.

Now Business.com has hijacked our homepage some how. Our site has been number one for in yahoo for "[snip]" for two years. Now somehow the our search result has been directed to a business.com page with a frame. We do have some adds on Business.com and apparently yahoo thinks our homepage is a business.com page. I just changed the landing page on our ad on business.com and yahoo search result is being redirected without the frame to a new page and site.

What is this? Does yahoo think our homepage is business.com? In addition we have lost our google indexing. For a while google was seeing [snip]/?trackcode=bizcom as the homepage? I deleted the trackcode on business.com and one month later we are out of google?

Help - Help?

If you are doing ppc advertising with Business.com then they include you in a number of partners engines, including yahoo. You get charged on a ppc basis for these listings, which in my case eventually superceeded our free listing, if memory serves on yahoo but curiously not on msn.

I found there listings to displace / merge with our own content so a search for my company name, for example, resulted in a ppc result. You can opt out of any of the partners (yahoo and others), we did so by contacting our Business.com rep. My only contention with the idea was that I dont think I recieved any notice, so after avioding sitematch like the plauge we ended up getting burned by Business.com paid inclusion instead.

Thanks for the reply. The hijacking has seemed to stop. I did two things. The first is I pulled back off all PPC of Business.com. We only have the standard listing. I was told by a business.com person that this would cause us to lose our number one ranking in Yahoo. I am happy to say this did not happen we just lost the business.com hijacking. The other thing I did prior to this was to change the location of the business.com link. I made a new page on another site and pointed the business.com adds to this page on another site. This caused the yahoo search link to go to the new page!
