They update regularly, it doesn't happen at any given time of the month.

Yes, sure. Many webmasters say that backlinks are not imprtant in Yahoo. But IMO they are wrong.

As just stated above, Y does a rolling backlinks update. The updates of your personal sites will depend on how easily your new links were found.

Backlinks are an important factor in any of the big engines at the moment.

given that Tim himself has posted to these forums about getting links i think we can take it as important. btw,,,they also drop you on the basis of inbound links, but thats Yahoo. :-)
