Many people have made that statement, however I can't find anything in their service agreement [docs.yahoo.com] that says the service is only available to U.S. dot coms.

What it says is that the site must be a commercial site and it must also be in English.

I think the U.S. only part has to do with the credit card processing. Many U.S. companies will not process non-u.s. credit cards. If your site meets all the other requirements, and you used a U.S. credit card, I think it would get processed like any other submission.

I have read their rules & regulations for submission - so for confirmation I would like to ask if the domain name MUST be .com domain & it musn't be a subdomain & the fields for states & province will be of local in Malaysia since I come from Malaysia - but I'll be using a canadian credit card -since you guys say that the card should come from the US & company details will be local too not a US or Canadian comp. please advise me

I have seen .co.uk domains listed in the main Yahoo DB and they are in a commerial category(NEW). The Canadian credit card should not be a problem.

Hi guys,

To put it to rest, i have submitted a .co.uk domain to the yahoo.com pay directory listsings, - no problems getting in, to add further, i even got them to change the description that they had originally edited.

the uk and ireland offers business express submissions and they do state (after submission) that you do not need to add your site to the main yahoo index because it will get listed there. i am asuming that the same aplies to submissions made using the business express service. that will be why .co.uk sites are ending up on the main index under commercial site categories that require express submission.:)
