There has been a link at the top of the page to the new homepage beta for quite awhile.

I dig it. Very clean.

No more underlined links until mouseover does make it more readable IMO.

It's a huge change - just check the source code! CSS positioning all the way, no tables at all. Note that they are using browser-sniffing to serve up the new look to new browsers, and the old tag soup tables design to everything else.

Also to note the new search page layout: [search.yahoo.com...] - again, CSS positioning rather than tables, and it looks like the google.com home page to the extent that it's virtually a carbon copy.

Yahoo is going standards-compliant - we'd seen the first hints of this in Yahoo Mail, Calendar, Notepad etc. but the home page and search page are much more significant. Note to standards advocates - neither page validates, mostly due to the usual unquoted attribute values, unescaped ampersands and a broken doctype on the search page. Nevertheless, this is a very important step forward.

I just went to yahoo and get a completely blank page. been like that for 10 minutes. I like the new format, kinda hard to search though :-)
