My site ranks on yahoo 16, 30 and 50 when i check on yahoo.com but my site is non existent on yahoo.co.uk for the same keywords.

I would like to know how often yahoo.co.uk is updated and why my site isn't ranked for the same keywords it is on yahoo.com

It may sound like a stupid question, but are you a UK site? ;)

Also, do you use .com or .co.uk?
Is your site hosted in the UK with a UK IP address?
Is your domain registered to a UK company (WHOIS)?
Do you have a listing in Yahoo Directory - if so, is it in a regional category?

I have the same problem on google.co.uk but for reasons that should not apply on yahoo as they use a different backlinks system.

Also, I find it quite insulting to be using uk.yahoo.com instead of yahoo.co.uk like we're just part of the "bigger picture" that is the mighty USA. It's like whenever an English person wins something in the Olympics its "Well done England!" but if a Scottish person wins something its - "Hooray for Britain".

Aren't we good enough to have our own domain? Google gives us one .... ;) Maybe Scotland should get its own TLD - www.scotlandrules.haggis

Different geo-targetting filters. If you have a .com you will get a boost in main Yahoo and a demotion in .co.uk (and vice-versa). You can overcome it by more links and better on page SEO.
