Spaces in the Yahoo! SERPS URLs?

The urls reported in the Serps sometimes have
spaces in them.

eg #*$!.yyy.edu/~bconnell/cty/ american-pie.html

Whats that about?

Excellent question, I notice this very often. Actually it appears in google sometimes as well.
